After being primarily a printmaker for twenty years, I turned my attention to developing paintings as I find the medium to be a much more direct way of expression. The work is abstract although much of the reference is to landscape.

I like to travel a lot and much of my work is informed by places that are different from here. It isn’t only places that interest me, but the memories created by time and distance. Landscape painting manifests an expressive power that suggests spiritual meanings.
